The Stakes Are High for EMS: Act During the August 2025 Congressional Recess!
The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives have adjourned for their annual August recess, and returned to their home states and districts to meet with constituents and attend local events. Together, we have built significant momentum for our legislative priorities, but we need your help to keep that momentum going during this August recess.
This is a great time to educate and engage your Members of Congress and their staffs on the issues important to EMS by scheduling a meeting in one of their district offices, attending a Town Hall meeting or other event where your Member will be present, or just reaching out to express your support for our priorities for the EMS profession. It’s also an ideal time to invite them on a ride-along or host a tour of your agency. Share your stories, your challenges, and the impact of your role.
You can find your Members’ office locations and other contact details in the Online Legislative Service (OLS). Our goal is to get as many Members as possible to cosponsor our priority legislation during the August recess.

The OLS makes sending an email easy! It’s a great way to get others in your community to support EMS. It’s quick for friends, colleagues, family members, and community stakeholders to show their support of the EMS community federal agenda. The OLS is open to everyone, and by getting others to send an email to their members of Congress, we can increase the volume and make a bigger impact.
